The high-pressure outer cylinder is the outermost major pressure-containing casing of the steam turbine high-pressure module. It encloses the high-pressure inner cylinder, diaphragm assemblies and rotor stages. During unit operation, it bears severe combined loads of ultra-high-temperature and high-pressure steam, thermal expansion stress, mechanical load and heavy bolt pre-tightening force. Its material performance, structural stiffness and flange sealing directly determine the safety, heat efficiency and service life of the high-pressure turbine section.
